ReInvent: An Interactive 3D music experience

Developed for Oculus Quest, ReInvent is a song that was written in 2010, brought to life in a whole new form in 2022.  In this app, each sphere contains the audio source of an individual instrument stem, that is tracked to that sphere.  When the player throws the spheres around the scene, unique audio mixes are created. Each sphere contains a 360 degree virtual reality image, and can be entered to experience that image as its own scene,

as well as experience its audio source more up close. 

The user interface menu features controls to change the skybox from daytime to nighttime, and a locomotion control slider so the  player can decide how fast they like to navigate the scene.

A multimedia virtual reality artist portfolio developed for PCVR. Scenes include a gallery with original photographs, 

a scene with multiple VR360 videos that can be entered and experienced, and a cinema with regular 2D video....

as well as a spatial audio installation outside in the courtyard.

The Chateau

This is a video from my ScalableSelf multimedia project. I created this animation using C# scripting inside the Unity3D game engine. The model I bought from CGTrader and rigged up in Mixamo, then manipulated those animations with code inside Unity. The increasing multitudes of stars flying at the astronaut are a whole bunch of particle systems created inside Unity as well. 

I used the Unity video renderer to turn this 3D scene into a music video.

In this app the user is attracted to magical spinning coins by their spatialized audio sources- located all over the island. The main objective is to collect all the coins, and there are multiple interactive audio/visual experiences to enjoy while exploring the area.

Adapter! - A Chiptune VR experience

An adaptive audio mix of a Chiptune composition, with audio exported as separate stems that are each triggered as the player moves through the scene, adding more and more layers as they move into different areas. This is a series of 3D tunnels with a camera system programmed to move through them all. Post processing in Unity3D intended to add some retro arcade feel to match the music. This works cool as a screen capture, to make a kind of music video like it is here...but has also been developed with an XR framework so it can be experienced in Virtual Reality. The animated character was added from Mixamo and made the ride a little more interesting!

Mixing audio in VR with Steinberg Nuendo and DearVR Spatial Connect

Best experienced with headphones. One of my favorite experiences in VR - creating spatial audio mixes inside the mix console of the future, while sporting a VR headset. It's an incredibly satisfying experience to be in the 360 space while you are dragging sounds around and creating spatial audio mixes.
